Claude Temin-Vergez was born in France and attended Chelsea College of Art and Design, Central St Martins and for her postgraduate studied at the royal Academy Schools, London. In 2005 she was awarded an Abbey Fellowship in Painting at the British School at Rome. Since completing her MA she has exhibited widely both in solo and Group exhibitions, in the UK and internationally in the USA and in Europe. Recent solo Exhibitions include: Madison Galery London 2009 and Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts de Valence, France 2010. Group Exhibitions include: UK (2011), France (2009), Rome, U.S.A. (2008, 2007 & 2006), Spain (2006) and Italy (2005); other recent exhibitions include: La Peinture est Presque Abstraite Curated by Olivier Gourvil at DRAC of Bourges France (2009), The expanded Painting Show at Art Basel Miami, US (2007) - Touring show curated by Paco Baragan and Nina Arias, Ebb and Flow a touring show, which included Raid Project Los Angeles, Abstract Mode at Contemporary Art project, London (2006) and Painting London Curated by Daniel Sturgis part of the Venice Biennale's program (2005).
Her work has been the subject of reviews by Barry Schwabsky, Sherman Sam, David Ryan and Mick Finch Among Others. Prizes include together with the Abbey Fellowship, The Castellon Painting Prize in Spain, and a Stanley Picker Fellowship in Painting at Kingston University. She is a Painting Lecturer at Camberwell College of Art (University of The Arts London). She lives and Work in London.
